Rapid Penang WiFi service is now expanded to 50 buses, including those servicing key routes like the Bridge Express Shuttle Transit (BEST) service, corridor 1 routes (Weld Quay-Teluk Bahang) and corridor 2 routes (Weld Quay – Farlim – Paya Terubong). Digi and Rapid Penang had previously rolled out their WiFi services back in 2009.
Digi Head of Northern region, Siew Chee Kong said that the service was to make Internet connectivity more accessible to the public.
"Over the past months we have worked closely with Rapid Penang and carried out extensive trials to ensure that the WiFi service offered is of high quality in ensuring that the customers will have a seamless online experience," said Siew.
